MailPoet Premium is an email marketing plugin rather than a WordPress theme. It is built for publishers, membership sites, small businesses, and WooCommerce stores that prefer to manage campaigns inside wp-admin instead of synchronizing content with an external SaaS dashboard.
Its strongest practical advantage is proximity to WordPress data. Posts, products, registered users, and customers can feed newsletters and automations directly. That makes MailPoet particularly useful for editorial workflows and modest e-commerce installations, although it is not a substitute for a full enterprise CRM.

Configuration Lives in the Plugin, Not the Theme
Campaigns, templates, forms, automations, segments, statistics, and sending settings are managed under MailPoet’s own admin screens. Email customization uses its drag-and-drop editor; it does not rely on the Customizer, theme.json, Elementor templates, or conventional Theme Options.
A child theme should only be used to style the surrounding site or reposition embedded forms. Overriding header.php, archive.php, or WooCommerce email PHP templates is not the normal MailPoet workflow. Bespoke behavior belongs in documented hooks, filters, a small integration plugin, or shortcode placement—not edits to MailPoet core files, which updates would overwrite.
The public codebase is maintained on GitHub. No fixed CSS/JS payload can be promised across releases, but most heavy UI code belongs to wp-admin. Optional third-party libraries are disabled by default. For reliable queues, busy sites should configure a real server cron rather than depend solely on traffic-driven background processing.
